Gay Games Ambassador Chris Morgan has become a World Champion in the sport of Powerlifting for the eighth time in his career.<\/p>\n
He was lifting in the World Single Event Championships, held in Telford in the United Kingdom and made lifts of 200 kilo\u2019s followed by 230 kilo\u2019s and then 250 kilo\u2019s to clinch the \u201cMasters 1\u201d title at the World Deadlift Championships.<\/p>\n
Speaking about the competition, Chris Said,<\/p>\n
\u2018I\u2019m delighted to have won my 8th<\/sup>\u00a0World Championship Gold Medal here in Telford.\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cThe figures lifted were not amongst my best ever, but this was never going to be possible after suffering a serious back injury only 12 weeks ago. It\u2019s been a very difficult training run to this competition and at times I didn\u2019t think I would actually make platform\u201d.<\/p>\n Chris Continued …<\/p>\n \u2018It\u2019s a wonderful feeling to be a World Champion again! I\u2019m now looking forward to getting back to full training and trying to improve on my Personal Best in the future\u201d.<\/p>\n Chris would like to take the opportunity to highlight the opportunity for everyone to reach for their own \u201cPersonal Best\u201d at the 10th<\/sup>\u00a0edition of The\u00a0 Gay Games that we be held in Paris in August 2018.<\/p>\n The Gay Games are open to all and are not reserved solely for the LGBT community.
